I’ve read a few reviews comparing ‘Ghost in the Shell’ to ‘The Matrix’. Personally I don’t reflect it’s an right comparison at all. Believe ‘Blade Runner’ here. It has the same kind of atmosphere that made BR such a cult movie and it deals with the same subject. Compared to most other animes out there, GITS may seem a exiguous dreary, but if you’re the kind who likes to have some brain activity when watching an anime, then you’ll probably like this. One other thing that caught my attention is that, like ‘Blade Runner’, it flows along like water. You could easily initiate watching it and net yourself loosing track of time. It is short tough, only 82 min. It’s a shame really, because with the tall amount of sub-plots show in Masamune Shirow’s new work they could easily produce an anime with well over 2hrs. That aside, the animation is some of the best you will ever peer. Kusanagi’s battle with the tank at the kill comes to mind. Very sleek. The music is also very odd. It’s kinda of a disagreeable between ambient, electronica and unusual age. It’s not for everyone be warned. Unlike normal music scores, Kenji Kawai’s gain does not bring the action to life, quite on the contrary. It’s always display very softly in the background to the point of you forgetting about it. It creates a sense of detachment, or contemplation that, in my idea, works broad for this kind of movie, however I can glance why some people would disagree. All in all, this one is a legal classic to be ranked along the side of Akira. Fetch it!

Image Quality: Very sterling for the most share. The anime’s dusky atmosphere and tiresome colours transfer well to DVD. The blacks aren’t as estimable as I would hope and at some points the image quality is, for some reason, a tad worse (the intro shots for example), however times like these are few and far between. The whole image is very soft and I hoped the edges would be a diminutive more attractive. I’m not clear if this is because of the transfer or the movie itself because I haven’t seen ‘Ghost in the Shell’ in any other digital format and I certainly aren’t going to purchase for reference the VHS edition *grin*. But don’t let what I said place you off, as for the most allotment you’ll be more than gay at the image quality. For an example, when the optic hide kicks in and you have the ‘rainbow’ carry out (if you study it you’ll know what I’m talking about) all the colours are very well defined and very crisp and you’ll score yourself thinking how frigid it looks. On another shot of Bateau inside his car more to the ruin, you can view water drops on the side window… try doing that on VHS. Very nice.

Sound Quality: When I bought this DVD I wasn’t expecting anything special on the sound department. Boy, was I ghastly. The sound comes in two flavours: English 5.1 and Japanese 2.0 The stereo version is nothing to write home about. It’s adequate… unbiased. The only kindly thing about it is that you find to hear the Japanese instruct acting which is always nice, other than that (if you’ve got a 5.1 setup) fair forget about it. The 5.1 version is where the sound really comes to life. It hasn’t got an intricate and complex soundstage like ‘Twister’ for example, but it distinct delivers the sound with a punch. Your subwoofer will treasure you every time you pop in this DVD. From the roaring explosions, machine gun fire or the deep drums on some parts of the musical catch, the bass is always deep and sure. Music is all around you, coming from all channels most of the time, so this at least creates an inspiring atmosphere, especially when the music is of the ambient type I’ve described. The surround channels are also nicely old. When shots are fired you come by a sort of ‘echo’ execute going in the two surrounds. It might not be factual, but when those HV bullets commence flying around, you’ll be delighted to have the lawful setup. On the market hurry scene, for example you obtain voices and sounds coming from the surrounds bringing the market to life. The surround channels are never aggressive nor overused, but I deem this is the best you can put a question to out an anime.

Extras: Well, they’re better than most DVD I’ve seen. You come by a 25-30 min ‘Making of Ghost in the Shell’ which is narrated by the guy who does the recount of Bateau in the English version (I hope I’m upright about this, it does sound a lot like him) . This won’t assert you anything terribly fresh, but it does provide a itsy-bitsy insight at some of the techniques customary.

The DVD also has a sort of index that provide information on obvious aspects of the universe of ‘Ghost in the Shell’. Characters, machine develop, the various sections fervent, etc… again, nothing terribly modern, but I can search for how it can shed some light in determined areas to those who aren’t very familiarised with Shirow’s universe or the anime itself. The rest of the extras are impartial ads for manga video, polygram, fan clubs, etc…

An existential action anime? That’s what Ghost In The Shell, a.k.a. Kokakukidotai (Shell Mobile Force) is, with animation sporting top-of-the-line computer imagery in the Bladerunner-like metropolis of Newport, but that’s secondary compared to the underlying intelligent theme.

Major Kusanagi Motoko is a skillfully trained cyborg assassin in Newport’s Piece 9, who’s taking out a diplomat illegally trying to give immunity to a listed programmer, demonstrates her training, including an incredible moment when she dives off a building, picks off her target, and via a thermoptic conceal (i.e. portable cloaking method), vanishes from see.

She and the members of her team, consisting of the mostly human Togusa, Ichikawa, and Batou, a fat no-nonsense blond cyborg with electronic study implants, are trying to track down the Puppet Master. The Puppet Master is a master hacker who hacks into people’s brains and uses them for his dirty work, presumably to carry out espionage or terrorism, leaving his puppets no memory of their infiltration. One of his puppets keeps using a public computer to try to infiltrate the brain of his wife, who is divorcing him and wants custody of their child. When he’s picked up, he is told by Piece 9 that his wife, child, and divorce are all untrue memories imprinted by the Puppet Master, causing further afflict to the man when he is told the deceptive memories can’t be erased.

However, there are two conflicts going on. One is Kusanagi’s mission to hunt down the Puppet Master. The other and the one with a deeper meaning is the search for her identity within the draw of a whole, or rather, something beyond her individual self, highlighted by her words taken from the Book of Corinthians: “For now we through a glass, darkly.” This reflects an earlier statement when she says in observation of a victim of the Puppet Master, “all data that exists is both fantasy and reality. Whichever it is, the data a person collects in a lifetime is a miniature bit compared to the whole.” A postmodernist flair is introduced when the Puppet Master says “While memories may as well be the same as fantasy, it is by these memories that mankind exists.”

The inquire thus is, is it possible for the soul to exist in a highly technological world, where special operatives have cyborg shells, metabolic control systems, ESP, and cyber-brains?

Buy,Download, Or Stream Ghost in the Shell! Click Here

The search is also symbolized when she surfaces, and the piquant image of her rising up to meet her reflection, representing her apt self. She wonders if she has a ghost, an animating soul or spirit. In looking at the construction of her body in the opening credits, one sees that she’s heavily mechanized, with an outer layer of flesh surrounding her.

Her attempt at defining the self begins with a original face, assure, childhood memories, feelings for the future, and the site of mental processes producing a consciousness that is “me.” However, upon a discovery gripping the Puppet Master, she further worries that what if there wasn’t a dependable “me,” that “I possess I exist based only on what my environment tells me. … What if a computer brain can generate a ghost and harbor a soul? On what basis then do I hold in myself? ” In other words, what if there is no higher power to connect to, bringing into mind the word “religion,” which means “to reconnect to.”

The action sequences aren’t uncouth, ultraviolent, or gratuitous in the bound sequences, but are moderate, that is until the heavy artillery is brought out, at which point glass, metal, and rock starts to coast. A very colorful, thought-provoking, one-of-a-kind existential, soul-searching anime, with Kusanagi despite its cyborg dominance showing some human traits.

Inside a grim cramped room in the empty countryside somewhere east of the Berlin wall an East German agent is interrogating a defecting British watch. The defector is anxious and weary. He wants his money now. Prompting the Communist agent to say this : “You are a traitor, the lowest currency of the frigid war. We pick you, we sell you, we lose you, we can even shoot you. Not a bird in the trees would roam if we did unbiased that.”

Except that Alec Leamas(Richard Burton) is not really a defector, he is only masquerading as one. On his last assignment for the British Secert Service, he is to pretend to be burnt out and jobless. Never faraway from a bottle he walks around the streets of London cynical and dismal, his “masterstroke” in this act is an ghastly fight with a shopkeeper who refuses to give him credit. This ofcourse attracts the attention of the East German agants who opinion him as a potential defector because of his dire need for cash and his embitterment towards the British Agency for abandoning him. It is a credit to Burton’s knowing and painfully realistic performance that you are resplendent clear his embitterment in not entirely an act. That he really is a drunk. That he wholeheartedly agrees with the German when he calls him “the lowest currency of the wintry war”, even if he is not a defector. To him, all spies, on both sides, are scum.

John Le Carre was an ex-British intelligence officer when he wrote the famous unusual on which this film was based. It was called “the finest peruse chronicle ever written” by the writer of The Third Man, Graham Greene. And in a sense, The Ogle Who Came In From The Icy starts where The Third Man left off. The lead character has already lost any faith he had in humanity. I suspect that the only reason Leamas hadn’t really defected is because even money has lost its lure. Surprisingly the most sympathetic characters in the book(and the film) are the communist eye Fiedler(Oskar Werner) and naive communist librarian Liz Gold(renamed Nan Perry in the film and played by Claire Bloom), and both pay dearly for it. In the world of The Explore Who Came In From The Frosty idealism is not merely misguided, it is pathetic. When Fiedler sincerely asks Leamus “How do you sleep at night without a philosophy? “. Leamus’s typically jaded reply is “I don’t contain in God or Karl Marx. I don’t own in anything that rocks the world. I reserve the accurate to remain ignorant.”

In adapting the current, scripters Paul Dehn and Guy Trosper retained the frigid restraint of the modern. Director Martin Ritt(who made the better known but unsuitable Norma Rae) shoots the film in a harsh dusky and white. Accompanied by a dusky violin net, The Glimpse Who Came In From The Icy is finally a sentimental film about unsentimentality. Ridiculously Burton lost out on the Oscar infavour of Lee Marvin in the frankly ridiculous Cat Ballou. The film was nominated for fair one other Oscar which was for Art-Direction. A shame. With its just and asthetic complexity, this is as far away from Bond or Tom Clancy based thrillers as you can gather. Possibly the greatest film in its genre, and in its believe peaceful draw the equal of The Third Man. The final message being that people who are driven enough to enter the world of espionage are not(and can’t afford to be) driven by ideals. In that world the only motive is expediency.

Richard Burton’s brooding performance coupled with appropriately grim murky and white photography from cameraman Oswald Morris provide unprejudiced the advantageous mood as the masterpiece thriller from ragged British intelligence operative John Le Carre was brought to the camouflage in 1965 with helpful fidelity.

While a British production, the film’s director was American Martin Ritt, an accomplished master of providing films of compelling seriousness with a touch of the grim, as exemplified by “No Down Payment”, “Hud” and “The Front.” Burton plays an intelligence operative gone to seed, hence the reference to “coming out of the frosty” which, in search for talk, involves being taken out of the field of operation. Burton goes to planned seed, becoming an alcoholic who ultimately is thrown into prison for pummeling a thoroughly decent London grocer who had extended him credit and ultimately had to diagram the line, incurring Burton’s well orchestrated rage in accordance with plans from MI5.

As soon as Burton leaves prison Michael Hordern is waiting for him. They discuss “doing articles,” a veil for what is really expected, turning allegiance and going to work for the Soviets. During this period Burton is provided with a job at a runt library featuring psychic works. It is here that he meets Claire Bloom, an ideologue who attends local Communist glimpse groups as a plan of making a dissimilarity in a haunted world.

Burton operates in a realm of barely contained rage. He inveighs Hordern with scorn and is not about to disagree with Oskar Werner when the East Germany Communist ideologue refers to Burton and his ilk as “the lowest currency of the Cool War.”

Burton’s contempt for his role in a grimy affair is enhanced by the fact that he has been sent to East Germany to definite Peter Van Eyck of charges that he is a double agent working for Britain. Werner has shrewdly pegged him, and British intelligence does all it can to wait on a ruthless individual it took charge of after he murdered a man on a waddle to England during an East German traveling trade point to. Eventually Bloom surfaces as a prop to benefit the deplorable Van Eyck.

More twists and turns occur until ultimately Burton wonders fair what the future holds for him, and whether Bloom, the only person he cares for in life, will be allotment of it. Circumstances ultimately reply considerable questions for Burton as he is propelled through a swirl of events masterminded by wily intelligence operatives to his ultimate destiny.

This is a spectacularly spiteful giant of a film. Guy Troper and Paul Rehn fashioned a intellectual script which meshes with Le Carre’s chilling suspense masterpiece. “See” was a deserving recipient of a Best Film British Academy Award. It bristles with controlled rage and sizzling wit delivered with the honorable measure of acid by Burton in one of his enduring roles.

Like people have said this is indeed a dim series not for young children at all but truly meant for adults as most can probably yelp. The series is mostly dealing with people who have grudges against someone else be they truly ample or simply petty it doesn’t really matter to Ai Enma also known as the Hell Girl. Ai Enma has a website that if found by someone will give them the opportunity to avenge themselves on someone they feel has wronged them or their family, the person who wishes to curse the person who wronged them makes a pact with Enma. Enma will indeed send the cursed person to Hell for eternal punishment but the cost to the one who makes the bargain is honest as slash, he or she after their life is over will also be cursed to Hell as punishment for making the bargain and going through with it. The series shows with each episode situations that have both the feeling that “Yes this person does indeed deserve to go to Hell”, but other situations point to us that while it may seem harsh that it’s for the most section Life, meaning there are situations of impartial standard school bullying and taunting, and so the demand for the viewer is do some of these people deserve their consignment into Hell for some of these crimes. I also like how they prove after the person has done the deed and they study the aftermath they have to wonder if what they have done is truly worth it and if it’s made their life better like they opinion it would. The report is nice and sure and as always with Funimation the cast for both the English and Japanese cast did incredibly well. So if you like the sad animes like Hellsing or Vampire D this is another series that’s worth you interest and time…

It has been a while since I have first area eyes on this series and must I say it’s truly beautiful, the art, the music, and characters you near across. It has a mix of a bit of feudal japan and recent day japan. I have seen both seasons of Hell Girl and working on the third. If you adore a bit of awe, fantasy, and suspense then this series is astonishing for you.

This is a review of the Blu Ray characterize and sound. The record is crystal obvious, it looks astounding. I am so joyful I paid the extra $15 and got BluRay. The sound is unbiased as astonishing. Definitely better then Standard DVD. Which I deem looks astounding, I occupy S1 on SD DVD and was impressed with the image and sound quality, BluRay blows it away.

This season was a exiguous monotonous going, I wasn;t elated with some of the fresh stories started, but over all I mediate if your a fan of Heroes, you’ll savor season 2.

I mediate this is the best plan to notice Season 2 of “Heroes.” Rude expectations, given the ragged word-of-mouth, and the pristine AV quality of Blu-ray. And you don’t have to wait a week to glean your next fix.

I loved every puny of this season. Especially when you examine the extras, and examine how this may have all played out if not for the writer’s strike. Every episode has a cliff-hanger, and each subsequent one delivers several pay-offs and knockout moments that will withhold you up at night.

Buy,Download, Or Stream Heroes: Season 2! Click Here

Seriously, I found myself completely engaged with the whole cast. The numerous complaints that they “spent too mighty time” with our heroes’ individual stories is fallacious, as you can clearly explore they would have been all heading to Odessa, Texas had it been a bulky season.

The actors do some of their best work to date. Soecifically, Hayden Panettiere and Masi Oka are flat-out improbable. The range they indicate across these eleven episodes is extraordinary. Every one else, for the most piece, excels as well. Except maybe the whole Mexican-immigration-black-eyeball storyline, which is only really highlighted by the impossibly creepy Sylar performance of Zachary Quinto.

The plots have ample twists, colossal action sequences…the visuals are terrific, as you’d ask. It’s all delivered flawlessly on these four BD discs. Again, check out the extras, which enjoy out the memoir nicely.

And I finished it Impartial in time for the unusual season, for which now I simply cannot wait!

King Corn is kind of like Shipshape Size Me’s petite brother. It traces the pervasive influence of corn on novel America, including the obesity epidemic and the fact that Iowa is growing trillions of bushels of *non-edible* corn to continue receiving lucrative government subsidies. College buddies Ian and Curt, both from the east skim, witness that they both had distant relatives from the same runt town of Greene, Iowa. Ian and Curt resolve to go to Iowa and plant one acre of corn, following it through its lifecycle, including where it goes after the harvest.

Buy,Download, Or Stream King Corn! Click Here

The film starts off slowly as the reasons for the stir are explained. The prerequisite talking heads introduce some scary factoids about how Americans are literally made of corn; if you do a hair analysis, it’s like a diet diary, and the mountainous majority of the American diet (corn-fed beef, hasty foods and processed foods) contains corn derivatives. Great of the corn we ingest is in the guise of high fructose corn syrup (HFCS), a cheaper alternative to sugar that is produced via a scary chemical conversion spellbinding several toxic acids. HFCS has been directly linked to the recent obesity crisis and its impact on Type II Diabetes (the body processes HFCS differently from table sugar) . Prior to the 1970s, hardly any company dilapidated HFCS due to its high cost. But after then-Secretary of Agriculture Earl Butz did away with the archaic Novel Deal market control policies in favor of fleet expansion in 1973, there was a constant surplus of cheap (and non-edible) corn, fueling the speedy expansion of the corn syrup industry. Here’s a expeditiously test: lunge into any convenience store and count how many items fill corn, specifically corn syrup. The list includes positive choices like soda and candy, but you’ll also accept HFCS in deli meats, breads, ketchup, spot enjoy, spaghetti sauce, and cough syrup. Oh yes, and one main variety of corn grown in Iowa (Liberty) is genetically modified, as is at least one ingredient in HFCS manufacturing.

Corn production geared towards ethanol is briefly mentioned, but the majority of the focus in King Corn is on the impact of non-edible corn on the nation’s food supply. In this respect, it’s kind of a gentler version of Supersize Me; there’s no shock value for the most piece. Also mentioned is the disastrous consequence of converting cattle from grazing animals to force-fed confined ones. Cattle normally forage for a plant-based diet, but it is far more helpful to bring them up to market weight by forcing them to stand mild and eat continuously. In addition, the acids reveal in corn cause deadly ulcers for the cows, who are slaughtered before developing acidosis. The raze result is that 70% of the antibiotics in the US are feeble on livestock (antibiotics combat both the acidosis and the infections resulting from confinement) . Literally everything at McDonald’s contains corn: your hamburger is corn-fed, the bun contains HFCS, your soda contains HFCS, the French fries are fried in corn (or soybean) oil, and your ketchup and scrape contains HFCS. Ditto for most vending machine foods, frozen dinners, and anything you don’t accomplish from scratch. It’s extremely difficult to dash buying foods containing corn, since a variety of pseudonyms are primitive, including baking powder, caramel color, dextrose, hydrolyzed vegetable protein, stearic acid, and vanilla, making it a nightmare for anyone with corn allergies.

Buy,Download, Or Stream King Corn! Click Here

Perhaps the most effective element is that of nostalgia. Ian and Curt also prefer time to obtain their long-lost relatives in Greene, and to judge on the rapidly changes in our recently agrarian society that have forced farmers to acquire massive farms harvesting non-edible corn. In other words, the farmer can’t even feed himself with what he’s growing. Without the hefty government subsidies, such large-scale corn operations would be out of business. They interview various farmers and ranchers who are disgusted with the system, but who have exiguous staunch choice (one farmer says flatly, “We’re growing crap!”) . We’re shown the evolution of farming equipment and of the family farm itself as a quaint reminder of the past; there are nostalgic shots of Main Street and hometown parades, level-headed diners and local bars.

Ian and Curt’s visual style is playful; the charts and graphs are hand-drawn, interspersed with stop-motion plastic farm toys to score the point across (and the dancing corn on the procedure of the US was huge, too) . The quirky soundtrack is a standout as well. DVD extras include some outtakes, a music video, bios, and some spacious 1950s-style educational clips. King Corn is a thought-provoking leer at the faded adage “You are what you eat,” and boy, it’s scary.

Although not perfect, I’ll give any documentary, movie, TV indicate or book five stars if it alters my life and King Corn definitely rates five elephantine stars. I would highly recommend that everyone recall or at least thought this movie once; I had the opportunity to gawk it this week on PBS’s series “Independent Lens.” Corn is nothing but a “raw material” that is separated to almost its basic elements and stale to fabricate our daily “garbage” diet.

I learned about the relationship between obesity and the employ of high fructose corn syrup (aka HFCS) by accident a few years ago when I made a visit to Victoria, Texas and they sold Dr. Pepper with “Imperial Sugar” and the 10-2-4 logo on the bottle. I didn’t know that sometime in the early 70’s that the soft drink companies switched from sugar to HFCS as the sweetener. Who would have notion that decades after being told that sugar is poor for your teeth, etc., etc. that it is actually distinguished better for you than the HFCS alternative!

After watching this documentary I did some research and HFCS is in almost everything you select. For example, it is that main ingredient in many of the ice cream syrups on the supermarket shelves… HFCS is in everything originate hamburger and hot dog buns to “outrageous rotund” salad dressing! Honey graham crackers… EVERYTHING! Lickety-split foods are chunky of this HFCS junk and this is only one of the many things you’ll learn from this documentary.

Where I live in Corpus Christi most of the population is obese, they use cramped (if at all), have a high incidence of diabetes and snappy foods are their well-liked filler. In fact, at the local Driscoll Children’s Hospital on one side you have the emergency entrance and on the other the “golden arches.” No joke! It is really dark.

One can only project into the future after the wheat gluten from China killed our pets in the United States… Will we outsource growing corn to China so we can collect even cheaper HFCS to fatten and slay our population off?

My only minor criticism is that the filmmakers didn’t glance our government’s role in ruining our diets by providing a version of “corporate welfare” to factory farms that create this junk. As it turns out, they would not be in this business, effect the subsidies they procure from the USDA. Go figure!

UPDATE 13May08: A novel sage in the The Wall Street Journal [1-year subscription] (May 7, 2008, Page B3A) by Susan Buchanan raises some enchanting points on the spend of corn syrup.

I do not want to give anyone the impression that the only reason that our nation is obese is due to HFCS. In fact, the predicament with obesity in the United States is the result of many interrelated and complex factors. They include, cheaper foods coupled with larger portions, an increase in eating out (especially at lickety-split food joints), reduction in utilize and, unfortunately, a greater acceptance of being overweight as the “norm” in our society.

As this film points out, our government is responsible for subsidies to earn something that is unprofitable good, while at the same time making food cheaper with heavy doses of HFCS inside. I wish, instead, that our government would give colossal subsidies to organic farmers and tax breaks to those who sail or hobble their bikes to work. Instead, our government (FCC) is more concerned with giving us more channels of digital TV by February 2009; another major cause of obesity is the time spent sitting in front of the tube. Where I live the Corpus Christi Police Department and Nueces County Sheriff’s Department have almost a zero narrate in regards to protecting pedestrians, joggers and bicyclists. It is downright uncertain to compose an wretchedness to be physically fit where I live. At the same time, the location in Corpus Christi is not, by any means, original in our country.

To sever the epidemic of obesity in the United States we need a multi-pronged attack on the spot that includes relieve from our government for more healthful ways of life and a population that will say NO to eating junk and YES to spend.

It took me years to assemble something finish to a complete collection of Hogan’s Heroes episodes from the heavily edited television re-runs assist in the 1990’s. It was a labor of adore that paid off well in the years before the ascendency of the digital video disc.

Of all the unbelievable television classics now released to DVD, none excites me more than Hogan’s Heroes. I have been patiently awaiting the day when the complete series would become available and I am thrilled that that day is finally here.

Having said that I mediate greater care and attention to detail should have been devoted to the presentation and packaging of this one-of-a-kind television classic. I would have liked to have seen more DVD extras including more commentary, interviews, subtitle options, maybe a half-hour documentary, and definately a specially designed box to house all the DVDs (for example the box could have been a mock TNT detonator, or maybe a footlocker, or a shortwave radio… hello? it’s not hard to consider of ideas for packaging this collection) . This product is simply the individual season packages bundled together in shrink wrap. But I guess one can’t question that the major studios to be involved in anything worthy more than the hasty buck. Objective eye at the hack job they did with TV classics like WKRP In Cincinnati and Jubilant Days which resulted from studios unwillingness to pay for the rights to include the unique music from these series in the DVD releases.

Fortunately music copyright royalties are not an tell with the DVD release of Hogan’s Heroes. Fans everywhere can now bask in, complete and without interruption, any and every episode of the heroics of Hogan and his men in the comfort of their possess home. If this isn’t unusual living then I don’t know what is!

The complete station of six seasons was well worth the wait. I saw Season Six at Walmart and almost bought it there but when I found the complete place on Amazon, it was one of those, “now’s the time” purchases (wincing as I clicked the assume button…) ;^D

You will delicate all the episodes very absorbing with lots of healthy laughs. It is really orderly watching my kids be pleased the program as distinguished as I have and smooth do.

The pickle is tearing them away from exiguous installments (they wanted to notice four in one sitting) . 168 episodes is alot but most of us who saw the originals and re-runs had to wait a week at a time - the wonders of technology today.

Anyhow, the quality of this area is respectable, remastered DVDs, there are a few bonuses on some of the season sets, if there was a negative more bonus material would have been a plus.

Opinion statement: Some say M*A*S*H was the all time hit, Actually I liked Hogan’s Heros more and it was more family kindly, very minimal adult-type humor, Hogan’s Heros has the type of humor the kids can like, even at their level. Hogan’s Heros successful six seasons paved the intention for M*A*S*H to become a reality and a success.

It is a honorable family ample place and I’ll not hesitate to recommend it. It is an investment in some fun moments with you spouse and kids! (…that’s 65 cents per episode…)

No one can really review this product because it isn’t out yet, but to respond (and counter) the above poster, there are several reasons to hold this release even if you bought the first Blu-ray release. I knew better; Stargate had at least 3 DVD releases (the first two were subpar), so why wouldn’t Blu-ray be the same? I held off on the barebones Blu-ray (one of the first films to the format), even though it could be had uber-cheap.

The intitial Blu-ray only had the director’s prick, which I accumulate obnoxious to the theatrical chop (gives away too mighty at the beginning for one thing), so I never bothered to take it. The unique release will have both cuts of the film, plus lossless audio instead of impartial DTS-HD High Resolution (which is level-headed very estimable) . I would demand an improvement in video quality as well. I gain the first release was a 25GB Blu-ray with MPEG-2 compression.

Plus, this disc should have a slew of extra features, including but not exiguous to those contained on the Ultimate Edition DVD. From thedigitalbits:

“You’ll net both the theatrical and extended cuts of the film via seamless branching, along with audio commentary by director Roland Emmerich and producer Dean Devlin, The Making of Stargate documentary and the Is There a Stargate? featurette. You’ll also catch a 3 all-new featurettes (Deciphering the Gate: Concepts and Casting, Opening the Gate: The Making of the Movie and Passing Through the Gate: The Legacy), a gag reel, the BD-Java Master of the Stargate interactive trivia game and the Stargate Ultimate Knowledge PiP viewing mode.”

I am very exasperated that Stargate is finally getting the Blu-ray treatment it deserves.

This Blu-ray will be a 50 gig disc opposed to the first one which was only 25 gig. Objective like early DVDs were aesthetic considerable impartial a obscene quality copy of the movie with no extras the same thing happened with early blu-ray. They lacked a lot of features and only customary 25 gig discs.

I will be purchasing this blu-ray as this is such a visually fair movie worth the capture. Not all movies are needed on blu-ray but this is one that is a must retract.

When looking to rob unique blu-rays check the package to manufacture determined that they are at least 50 gig discs.
